Privacy Policy – MoodWave

Last updated: 7/14/2026

This Privacy Policy describes how MoodWave handles user data.

1. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for data processing in this app is:

Aleksej Kolb

Friedrichstraße 30, 46284 Dorsten, Germany

Email: moodwave@kaleidoscope-apps.de

2. General Information

The app is designed so that all user data is stored exclusively locally on your device. There is no transfer of mood data, notes, or challenge content to the developer's servers or to any third parties – except for the in-app purchases described in Section 6.

3. Collected Data

3.1 Mood Data & Challenges

In MoodWave, users can create mood entries, notes, and challenges. This data is stored locally only on your device.

3.2 Usage Data

No analytics or tracking tools are used. There is no collection of usage or behavioral data by third parties.

4. Permissions

The app only requests technically necessary permissions, e.g., access to local storage to save data on the device. No additional device features are used.

5. In-App Purchases (RevenueCat)

To manage in-app purchases (e.g., premium subscriptions), MoodWave uses the service RevenueCat, Inc.

  • RevenueCat processes necessary transaction data (e.g., purchase status, subscription duration).
  • RevenueCat does not receive any mood data, notes, or other content from the app.
  • Further information and RevenueCat's privacy policy can be found on the RevenueCat website.

6. Data Sharing

Personal data is not shared with third parties, except to the extent necessary for processing in-app purchases through RevenueCat. There is no sharing with advertising or analytics partners.

7. Data Storage & Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. You have full control at all times:

  • You can manually delete data within the app (if the app provides such a function).
  • Uninstalling the app typically removes locally stored data.

8. Minors

The app is not directed at children under 16 years of age. No data is collected to identify children.

9. Your Rights

Because data is stored locally and only limited personal transaction data for in-app purchases is transmitted to RevenueCat, many access and portability rights are practically not applicable. However, you still have the right to request information and deletion of locally stored data (e.g., by deletion within the app or uninstallation).

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy as needed. The current version is available within the app.
